COST CA18108 celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

All along this month the COST Action CA18108 is joining the celebrations of February 11 International Day of Women and Girls in Science. On every day from 6th February, members of our Action have been sharing their favorite female scientist on our social networks.

Universidad Nacional de La Plata joins CA18108 as IPC institution

Universidad Nacional de La Plata has joined Action CA18108 as an IPC institution (representative: Dr Sebastián Alberto Franchino-Viñas, from the Physics Department).

Argentina is the last country to join a list of non-European countries with approved institutions at CA18018 (Kuwait, Iran, USA, China, Chile, Canada, Japan and Mexico). The complete set of IPC institutions and the corresponding participants (“MC observers”) can be seen at this page in our website.

3rd ITC Conference call is open

QG-MM Action is opening its third call for Conference Grant (CG) applications: https://qg-mm.unizar.es/?page_id=127

ITC Conference Grants intend to promote the work of young physicists in less research-intensive European countries (Inclusiveness Target Countries or ITC), by providing a contribution to the overall travel, accommodation and meal expenses of the selected grantees attending to a conference. It is a fixed financial contribution which takes into consideration the budget request of the applicant and the outcome of the evaluation of the application by the QG-MM CG Committee.

Deadline for applications: 31 March 2020
Please note in addition that the conference must end no later than 15th April 2020.

Russia and Armenia join as Near-Neighbour Countries in COST Action CA18108

The Management Committee of COST Action CA18108 has approved the participation of the following MC Observers (Near Neighbour Countries):

  • Russian Federation, Instute for Nuclear Research of RAS (INR RAS), Moscow
  • Armenia, Yerevan Physics Institute

We welcome their representatives (Petr Satunin and Oleg Kalashev from Russia, and Ara Ioannisian, Narine Kazaryan, and Elena Apresyan from Armenia) as MC Observers of our Action.

Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México joins CA18108 as IPC institution

“Instituto de Ciencias Nucleares (Nuclear Science Institute), at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (ICN-UNAM)”, has joined Action CA18108 as an IPC institution (representative: Dr Celia Escamilla-Rivera, from the Department of “Gravitación y Teoría de Campos”).

Mexico is the last country to join a list of non-European countries with approved institutions at CA18018 (Kuwait, Iran, USA, China, Chile, Canada, and Japan). The complete set of IPC institutions and the corresponding participants (“MC observers”) can be seen at this page in our website.
